Multiflex facility services is committed to protecting the environment by conducting its business in an environmentally aware and responsible manner with the aim of minimising:

Atmospheric emissions;

Land contamination and spills;

Noise emissions;

Damage to flora and fauna;

Erosion and surface runoff;

Reduce energy consumption;

Damage to heritage items; and

Economic and physical disruption to local communities and businesses.
The Company is committed to complying with all applicable requirements imposed by legislation, industry regulators, our Clients and the ISO 14001 Standard and continually improving the effectiveness of environmental process management and performance.

Approach

To support our commitment, the Company has developed, implemented and will maintain an Environmental Management System by which all working on behalf of the Company shall abide. The Company strives to take a proactive approach in achieving compliance with legal and other requirements by:

Consulting and communicating with personnel and interested parties;

Identifying aspects, assessing impacts and eliminating or controlling risks;
-
Providing the resources and training necessary to demonstrate compliance;
-
Establishing measurable objectives and targets; and
-
Regularly evaluating its compliance with applicable legal and other requirements, and reviewing the results of the evaluation with Top Management to identify opportunities for improvement.
All workers who work on behalf of MFS are required to:

Adhere to Company policies, procedures, instructions and rules;

Assist the Company in meeting environmental objectives and targets;
-
Cooperate and coordinate on Environmental Management System processes and improvement initiatives with the Company and relevant stakeholders;

Report all spills, incidents and potential impacts, immediately to the relevant Supervisor or Manager;
-
Manage the erosion and sediment control of the worksite effectively in order to prevent dirty water from entering a waterway or drain;
-
Reduce the impact that dust, smoke, fumes and odours adversely have on the environment;
-
Reduce and control the effects of noise and vibration generated from the construction activities on adjacent human receptors, employees, and flora and fauna;
-
Ensure that storage of hazardous chemicals do not cause environmental damage;
-
Employ good waste management practices by reducing waste going to landfill, minimising disposal costs, conserving resources and disposing of waste only at licenced facilities; and
-
Procure goods and services from local businesses.
