Health and Safety Policy

COMMITMENT


Multiflex Facility Services is committed to preventing WHS-related injuries and illnesses by providing a safe work environment for all its staff, subcontractors, clients and visitors to its workplace.

The Company is committed to fulfilling its legal obligations and continually improving the effectiveness of WHS process management and performance.

Health and safety is both an individual and shared responsibility of all staff, including subcontractors, work experience students and volunteers. The objective of the policy is to ensure that all staff understand their obligations in relation to health and safety.


APPROACH


To support our commitment, the Company has developed, implemented and will maintain an WHS Management System by which all employees shall abide. The Company strives to take a proactive approach in achieving compliance with legal and other requirements by: 


•    Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of persons at work;
•    Consulting and communicating with staff and interested parties;
•    Identifying hazards, assessing risks and eliminating or controlling risks;
•    Providing the resources and training necessary to demonstrate compliance;
•    Providing safe work systems; 
•    Establishing measurable objectives and targets; and
•    Regularly evaluating its compliance with applicable legal requirements and reviewing the            results of the evaluation with Top Management to identify opportunities for improvement.
      All staff who work on behalf of Multiflex Facility Services are required to:
•    Adhere to Company policies, procedures, instructions and rules including safe work                     practices;
•    Assist the Company in meeting WHS objectives and targets;
•    Cooperate and coordinate on WHS Management System processes and improvement                  initiatives with the Company and relevant stakeholders;
•    Report all any incidents (including near misses), injuries, illnesses, dangerous occurrences         or hazards immediately to the relevant Supervisor or Manager;
•    Look after their own health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace;
•    Ensure they do not attend or remain at work if they are not fit to do so;
•    Only operate equipment where if competent, qualified and authorised;
•    Follow all instructions relating to the correct use of plant, machinery, chemicals or                       equipment, and if unsure of the correct procedures, ask for instructions from a supervisor         before using them; 
•    Use personal protective equipment;
•    Participate in consultative arrangements; and
•    Participate in return to work programs.
